Napoleon's sword sold

I just read in the paper that the sword the Boney used at marengo was sold for almost € 5 000 000

Just wondered if you knew that the Norwegian Sword of State was given to Carl Johan (Bernadotte) by Napoleon as a gift, and was used by said Carl Johan in the battle of Leipzig. =)

It'll never be sold as it's part of the crown jewels of Norway. Also Carl Johan had it re-decorated before his coronation in Trondheim in 1818, among other things by having the hilt and sheath inlaid with mother-of-pearl, so it's value in purely empirical terms would be significant in any case.

I hope it will never be sold, so many historical things nowadays seem to have a price on there heads and sold.
